Specializations and Duties of the Unit

(Prof.Dr.Ola Tawfiq)

The Director of the Quality Assurance Unit is responsible for managing administrative, technical, and financial affairs within the framework of the general policy set by the Board of Directors and its decisions. The Director particularly undertakes the following responsibilities:

  1. Managing the daily administrative and technical work of the unit.
  2. Following up on the implementation of the Board of Directors' decisions for the unit.
  3. Representing the unit at the University’s Quality Assurance Center.
  4. Proposing the general policy for quality assurance at the faculty and developing executive plans that ensure the achievement of the unit’s objectives.
  5. Proposing a system to promote a culture of quality at the faculty, monitoring its implementation, and activating the role of the unit’s supporting technical committees.
  6. Following up on quality procedures and requirements in the description and reports of various programs and courses at the faculty.
  7. Supervising the preparation of periodic reports for technical committees, newly established units, and the coordinators of standards within the unit to present them to the Board of Directors.
  8. Preparing the annual report for the faculty, following up on the preparation of periodic reports, and submitting them to the unit’s Board of Directors and then to the faculty council.
  9. Developing the annual plan for the Quality Assurance Unit, reviewing the self-study report, and submitting them to the unit’s Board of Directors and then to the faculty council.
  10. Preparing the unit’s annual budget and presenting it to the Board of Directors.
  11. Coordinating among the unit’s team members (faculty staff, administrative staff, students, and various academic departments).

  • Providing technical support for institutional accreditation standards and program accreditation.
  • Participating in the internal review of programs, courses, and the self-study report.
  • Preparing annual reports.
  • Reviewing teaching and learning strategies.
  • Reviewing the strategic plan.

Prof. Dr. Aisha Al-Fateh (First Deputy) – Prof. Dr. Nahed Ismail (Second Deputy)

  1. Representing the unit director in various councils and meetings in his/her absence.
  2. Performing the executive director’s duties in the unit during the director’s absence.
  3. Assisting the Quality Assurance Unit Director with organizational and administrative tasks in all unit activities.
  4. Participating with the director in developing the annual plan for the Quality Assurance Unit.
  5. Participating with the director in preparing and reviewing the self-study report and the annual report.
  6. Assisting the director in facilitating the tasks of the technical committees and standards coordinators within the unit.
  7. Participating in supervising and monitoring all work and activities of the unit according to the scheduled timeline.
