Committee Objectives

  • The Training Committee at the Faculty of Sport Sciences (Girls) aims to enhance the academic, research, and professional capacities of leaders, faculty members, teaching assistants, students, graduates, and administrative staff by organizing training programs, workshops, and specialized seminars. These activities keep pace with advancements in sports sciences and support the achievement of the faculty’s mission and goals.

Tasks of the Training Committee

Director of the Training Committee: Prof. Dr. Sally Said

1. Identifying the training needs of stakeholders (students, faculty members, administrators) through survey forms and issuing an accredited annual report on the training needs of each group.

2. Following up on the submission of required tasks from all departmental coordinators.

Deputy Director of the Training Committee: Assoc. Prof. Asmaa Mohamed Gharib

1. Developing an annual training plan for the Quality Assurance Unit for each category, submitting it to the University Quality Assurance Center for monitoring, and publishing it on the faculty website.

2. Following up on the submission of required tasks from all departmental coordinators.

Departmental Coordinators:

1. Organizing training courses, preparing training materials and related documents (attendance sheets, course evaluation surveys, etc.).

2. Measuring the outcomes and impact of each training course, and preparing a final report on the benefits gained.

3. Coordinating with relevant authorities and the University Quality Assurance Center to organize training courses for targeted groups within the faculty.

Work Mechanisms

  • Identifying training needs through faculty members’ self-assessment reports and training needs surveys for faculty, assistants, leaders, and administrative staff.
  • Assigning a training committee coordinator for each academic department.
  • Receiving the annual training plan from departments at the beginning of the academic year (for both semesters), including proposed training programs, workshops, and seminars.
  • Presenting the annual training plan to the Faculty Council for review and approval.
  • Coordinating with departments and units in preparing training programs, selecting trainers and lecturers, and leveraging the expertise of faculty members inside and outside the university.
  • Announcing seminars, training programs, and workshops through the faculty website.
  • Preparing a report at the end of each semester to track completed activities, uncompleted ones, and reasons for non-implementation.
